We love our pets! As you get to know us, you'll find that a lot of that same love we have for our own pets is extended toward yours in our care and treatment. We know how stressful a visit to the vet can be, not just for our pets, but for ourselves as well. MEET dR. rAMAGE
Dr. Amanda Ramage is the owner and veterinarian at Pacific Northwest Veterinary Hospital. She
believes every pet deserves compassionate, individualized care that considers not only their
medical needs, but also their overall quality of life. By combining evidence-based Western
medicine with holistic therapies when appropriate, Dr. Ramage works closely with pet owners to
develop personalized treatment plans that help each patient thrive.
Since graduating from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, Dr.
Ramage has dedicated her career to caring for pets and the people who love them. She has
proudly served the Olympic Peninsula community since 2018.
Her passion for animals began early in life. Growing up in West Seattle, she spent much of her
childhood helping her mother, a professional dog obedience trainer. Through those experiences,
she developed a deep appreciation for the bond between people and their animals. Although she
always knew she wanted to work with animals, her dream of becoming a veterinarian was
solidified when her first puppy suffered a broken leg shortly after joining the family. Watching
the veterinary team care for her beloved companion inspired a lifelong calling to help animals
heal.
Dr. Ramage's professional interests include integrative medicine, veterinary acupuncture, animal
behavior, nutrition, internal medicine, and end-of-life comfort care. She is also a certified Fear
Free® practitioner with extensive experience in animal behavior, helping pets feel more
comfortable and reducing stress during veterinary visits. She enjoys partnering with families to
find treatment options that fit both the needs of their pets and the goals of their caregivers.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Ramage enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Conner Ames,
their son Braxton, and their five beloved pets: two senior cats, Desi and Hansel; two Beaucerons,
Orac and Kiah; and Rosie, a rescue dog from Grenada.
When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys training and competing with her dogs in
Schutzhund, AKC Rally, AKC Obedience, AKC Conformation, dock diving, herding, and scent
work. She also loves hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, biking, and exploring the Pacific
Northwest with her family.
Dr. Ramage is honored to care for the pets of the Olympic Peninsula and looks forward to
building lasting relationships with the families who entrust Pacific Northwest Veterinary
Hospital with their companions care.
Meet Dr. Allen
Dr. Allen started Pacific Northwest Veterinary Hospital in 1999. Dr. Allen is a 1991 graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She owned a practice in California where she worked with Guiding Eyes in addition to her mixed animal practice. In 1999 she moved to Sequim with her two children. With the help of local contractors, she remodeled the Pine Cupboard into the Pacific Northwest Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Allen enjoys all aspects of general practice, but has recently integrated acupuncture into the services she offers.
Dr. Allen loves all the Pacific Northwest has to offer and enjoyed building her practice from the ground up, while at the same time raising her children. Now both pursuing their own careers in law enforcement and veterinary medicine, Dr. Allen’s empty nest is filled with spending time on her farm where she cares for her horses, dogs and cats. Dr. Allen is an avid equestrian and martial artist. She recently received her 5th Dan blackbelt in Taekwon Do.
June 2019 was Pacific Northwest’s 20 year anniversary and Dr. Allen is looking forward to another 20 years of service to the community.

Kelley Martin
At home, Kelley has two Great Danes, Lyric and Corbin and a smalll herd of Angora goats. Outside of work, Kelley enjoys doing scentwork with Lyric and Corbin. Kelley has over 30 years in the veterinary medical field. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Colorado State University.

Certified Veterinary Technician
Austin Allen
Austin is our part time technician. Whenever he is visiting home, you can find him here at the hospital, or assisting with remote reports.
Austin completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology in the beginning of 2020 and works as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Austin plans on applying to veterinary school after the completion of his undergraduate degree. His primary interests are in anesthesia, critical care and pharmacology.
In his free time, Austin enjoys baking, running and spending time with his mare Devy.
